Read the Utilization Overview
Draft — 2026-09-26
Drafted from the screen's code on main (kareIntelligence 7455702). Not yet reviewed against a live session. Roles listed are the defaults the app's role matrix (@collabkare/ability 0.12.0) gives this screen's route; your organization's role overrides can change them.
Utilization → Clinical Analytics is the Utilization Overview: ED use, readmissions, inpatient stays, skilled nursing and home health side by side, composed live from five analytics domains. Use it to spot which utilization area needs a closer look, then follow the link to its own screen.
What you see
- ED utilization — total ED visits and unique members, avoidable visits (NYU ED classification), the ED → inpatient admit rate and frequent fliers (4+ visits).
- Readmissions — 30- and 90-day readmissions over the shared inpatient-stay envelope, with the average days to readmit.
- Inpatient — admissions, total inpatient pay, average length of stay (discharge − admit), cost per admit and the share of admits that started in the ED.
- Skilled nursing and Home health — episodes, cost, and how many discharge-known episodes led to an inpatient stay within 30 days.
- One composed trend (hospital admissions by stay start month); the detail screens carry the per-domain charts.
Each section has an Open … link: ER Analytics, Readmissions, Inpatient Analytics, SNF Analytics, Home Health Analytics.
Honest states
- A domain that cannot answer is listed with its error and shows em dashes, not zeros.
- Stays without a discharge date are excluded from length of stay, and the screen says how many.
- Zero SNF or home-health episodes is a real, served measurement ("zero episodes served — honest empty state").
