KareMD overview

KareMD is the physician workspace of the CollabKare platform. It is where providers review their day, open patient charts, document care, place orders, prescribe medications, review results, hand off patients, and complete utilization and documentation case reviews.

Who uses KareMD​

Access is role-based. Your administrator assigns one of these roles, which controls what you can see and do:

  • Prescribers — Chief, Attending, Consultant, Hospitalist, APP, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant: full charting, ordering, and prescribing.
  • Trainees — Resident, Intern, Medical Student: charting and ordering with supervision limits; some actions require a co-signature or are view-only.
  • Utilization — Physician Advisor: case reviews, plan review, and coverage work; chart access without ordering.
  • Support staff — Medical Assistants (vitals, intake, document upload), Scribes (notes on behalf of a provider, pending attestation).
  • Leadership and administration — CMO, Clinical Director, Program Administrator, System Support: dashboards, reports, builders, and oversight, with varying chart access.

Main areas​

The left navigation is organized into groups:

  • Work — Dashboard, Worklists, and Schedule.
  • Clinical — Patients (search and open charts), Sign-out (cross-cover handoffs), and On-call.
  • Collaborate — Inbox, Notifications, and Tasks.
  • Physician Advisor, Billing & Coding, Reports & Analytics — role-specific groups that appear only if your role includes them. Case Reviews, Billing Management, and Provider Analytics live here.
  • More — additional role-specific sections, collapsed by default.

Inside a patient chart, a second navigation rail groups everything about that patient: Summary (Face Sheet, Disease Monograms, Demographics), Clinical (Problems, Allergies, Medications, Vitals, Labs, Immunizations), Diagnostics (Radiology, Pathology), Orders & Billing, Care & Workflow (Encounters, Appointments, Care Team, and more), and Documentation (Progress Notes, Documentation Hub, Documents).
