KareNurse overview

KareNurse is the bedside app for inpatient nurses. It works on the same patient record as kareMD, so what you chart is what the physicians see.

Main areas

• My patients — the beds assigned to you this shift, with vitals entry, intake and output, the medication administration record (MAR), nursing assessments (Morse fall risk, Braden, GCS) and verbal or telephone orders.
• Unit board — every bed on your unit, with alerts such as a bed move or a patient who is ready for discharge.
• Tasks — nursing tasks generated from orders, and your own.
• Handoff — SBAR handoff to the next nurse.
