Create and track cohorts
Draft — 2026-09-26
Drafted from the screen's code on main (kareIntelligence 7455702). Not yet reviewed against a live session. Roles listed are the defaults the app's role matrix (@collabkare/ability 0.12.0) gives this screen's route; your organization's role overrides can change them.
Population → Cohorts saves a named population from a filter and re-measures it after every pipeline run, so you can trend it over time.
Create a cohort
- Compose a filter in Settings & Filters at the top of the page and press Apply — the cohort captures the applied filter.
- Enter a name and an optional description, then choose Create cohort. The filter becomes the cohort's definition and cannot be changed afterwards.
- The filter summary shows which parts are Applied by mart v1 and which are Stored but NOT applied.
Track it
- The list shows each cohort's members, member-months, total paid, PMPM and when it was last computed. A new cohort shows "never measured — the next run will snapshot it".
- Click a cohort's name to load its Trend: members and total paid across every snapshot.
- Recompute now queues a run; follow it in Data Trust. New snapshots appear once the run finishes.
How cohorts behave
- Every active cohort is re-measured after each pipeline run. A run that fails reconciliation never reaches the snapshotter.
- A snapshot uses the same services as the Network KPIs and Cost pages, so the numbers agree.
- A cohort that measures to zero is stored as zero. A cohort that could not be measured is skipped, so the trend shows a gap, not an invented point.
- Ticking a cohort's Archived box keeps the cohort and its history but stops recomputing it (tick Show archived to list archived cohorts). Delete removes its snapshots too.
- Cohorts are visible to everyone in your organization.
