Review the patient chart and care gaps during a visit
Use the side panel on the visit screen to review the patient's record and open care gaps without leaving the video call.
Before you start
- You must be in an active visit; the panel appears on the right side of the visit screen.
- The panel header confirms the patient's name, MRN, and age — verify these before discussing clinical details.
Steps
- On the visit screen, find the tab bar at the top of the right-hand panel: Chart, Care Gaps, Assess, Plan, AI Notes, and Chat.
- Open Chart to review the record. It is organized into sections:
- Active Problems — current diagnoses with onset dates.
- Current Medications — active medications with dose, frequency, and route.
- Allergies — shown only when the patient has allergies on file, with reaction details.
- Recent Labs — latest results with values flagged normal or abnormal.
- Vitals — most recent readings.
- Open Care Gaps to see preventive-care and quality measures that are due or overdue for this patient, with the date each was last addressed. Overdue items are highlighted in red. If no formal quality reports exist yet, the tab shows condition-based recommendations instead (marked as such).
- Open Assess to see the patient's previous screenings and their completion status. From here you can select Start Assessment to run a new one (see Complete an assessment during a visit).
- Open Plan to see the patient's active care plan and its activities, if one exists.
- Open AI Notes to watch the live transcript of the conversation, labeled by speaker (Provider / Patient), when transcription is running for the visit.
Tips / Troubleshooting
- Empty sections say so explicitly (for example, "No recent labs on file") — that means nothing is recorded, not that loading failed. Loading failures show an error with a retry option.
- The care gaps shown here match the Pre-Visit Brief you saw in the queue, so you can pick up where you left off.
