Prepare for your visit
A few minutes of preparation makes your visit smoother — your care team spends less time on paperwork and more time on you.
Before you start
- Sign in to the myKare Portal.
- Best done a day or two before your appointment.
Steps
- In the portal, open Pre-visit Check-in under My Care.
- Answer each question one at a time — the progress bar shows how far along you are. Click Continue after each answer.
- On the last step, click Review, check your answers, and then submit. Your responses go to your care team before the visit.
- While you're at it, make sure your record is up to date:
- Medications — add any medicines, vitamins, or supplements you've started.
- Allergies — check that your allergy list is current.
- Documents — upload any outside lab reports or prescriptions your doctor should see.
- Jot down your questions. During a video visit, the waiting room even has a private space to prepare questions while you wait.
For video visits
- Test your camera and microphone ahead of time — the waiting-room checklist walks you through it.
- Join from a quiet, well-lit, private spot, and keep your phone nearby in case your care team needs to reach you.
Tips / Troubleshooting
- Bring (or upload) a photo ID and your insurance details if this is your first visit with a provider.
- Running late or need to cancel? Contact the clinic as early as you can — your appointment's status is always visible on the Appointments page.
